CC Ten CommandmentsCHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (8/10/17) — The Kelly Community Organization announced the completion of the Ten Commandments Monument at Kelley Station Park.

The Kelly Community invites community supporters and churches to join them at the park 2 p.m. Sunday for a public dedication ceremony.

The Kelly planning committee expressed gratitude to those who donated time, supplies, skills and finances to insure the project was completed. The project was a months-long endeavor to ensure the Lord's commandments are always at the center of hearts and minds, organizers said.

The monument is placed in the center of a circular sidewalk, complete with angels and benches for relaxation and meditation.

The Ten Commandments Monument is just one of the projects at Kelley Station Park (7490 Old Madisonville Rd). Eventually the park will also contain a community center, fire department substation, walking trail and playground, organizers said.
