Henderson County LogoCECILIA, Ky. (11/13/17) — Henderson County's postseason run ended in the second round as host Central Hardin prevailed 31-16 when the two teams met in the Class 6A Russell Athletic/KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl on Friday night.

With the loss, Henderson County ended its season 5-7.

Central Hardin improved to and 9-3 advanced to the Class 6A, Region 1 championship game with the win.

Quarterback Skip Patterson paced Central Hardin on the road at Central Hardin, completing 15-of-26 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.

Isaac Anglin and Max Hargis hauled in one touchdown pass reception apiece for the Colonels.

The Colonels were limited to 61 rushing yards in the season-ending setback.

Defensively, Henderson County allowed Central Hardin to rush for 274 yards. 

Central Hardin is set to host Daviess County in the Class 6A, Region 1 championship game.
