Muhlenberg County Lady MustangsHAWESVILLE, Ky. (12/2/17) — Muhlenberg County notched its first win in the 2017-18 season girls' high school basketball season on the road on Thursday night, defeating host Hancock County 80-46.

With the win, Muhlenberg County evened its record to 1-1.

The Lady Mustangs moved ahead early and never faltered.

Muhlenberg County shot 46.8 percent (29-of-62) from the field. The Lady Mustangs were 11-of-26 (42.3 percent) beyond the arc.

Muhlenberg County shot 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from the free throw line.

Raegan Blackburn led Muhlenberg County to the win, scoring a game-high 24 points.

Muhlenberg County featured four scorers in double figures as Erica Cary netted 17 points, Destin Armour contributed 13 points and Kaitlyn Robinson posted 11 points.

Cary led Muhlenberg County inside, claiming seven rebounds for the Lady Mustangs.

Additional scorers for Muhlenberg County in the convincing victory were Alaira Drake (six points), Grace Hauslein (five points) and Elizabeth Joines (four points).
