Madisonville MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/7/17) — Host Madisonville-North Hopkins suffered its second straight loss on Tuesday night as visiting Christian County pulled away to win 63-43 in an early-season girls' high school basketball game.

With the loss, Madisonville-North Hopkins dropped to 1-2.

Christian County moved to 4-0 with the win.

Victorious Christian County shot 37.9 percent (22-of-58) from the field. The Lady Colonels were only 4-of-28 (14.3 percent) from 3-point range but made up for it at the free throw line. Christian County was 15-of-24 (62.5 percent) from the free throw line in the win.

Inside, Christian County owned a 42-29 rebounding advantage over Madisonville-North Hopkins.

Christian County featured four scorers in double figures with Brianna Snorton leading the way with 13 points.

Aaliyah Hampton scored 12 points, Trinity McGee tossed in 11 points and Trinitee Jackson added 10 points for the Lady Colonels. Jackson recorded a double-double, grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds for Christian County in the win.

Madisonville-North Hopkins shot only 26.3 percent (11-of-42) from the field. The Lady Maroons were 3-of-15 (20 percent) from 3-point range.

Madisonville-North Hopkins shot 62.5 percent (15-of-24) from the free throw line.

A pair of Lady Maroons reached double figures in the scoring column. Courtney Peyton paced Madisonville-North Hopkins with 17 points. Peyton recorded a double-double, pulling down 10 rebounds for the Lady Maroons.

Accompanying Peyton in double figures for the Lady Maroons, Camryn LaGrange netted 15 points in the loss.
