Muhlenberg County Lady MustangsOWENSBORO, Ky. (12/7/17) — Muhlenberg County claimed its third straight win on Tuesday night, defeating host Owensboro 71-61 in an early-season girls' high school basketball game.

With the win, Muhlenberg County improved to 3-1.

Owensboro dropped to with the loss.

Muhlenberg County shot 45.1 percent (23-of-51) from the field. The Lady Mustangs were 10-of-28 (35.7 percent) from 3-point range.

Muhlenberg County shot 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from the free throw line in the victory.

Raegan Blackburn paced the Lady Mustangs offensively, scoring a game-high 20 points.

Accompanying Blackburn in double figures and recording a double-double, Erica Cary scored 16 points and puled down 10 rebounds for the Lady Mustangs.

Four different Muhlenberg County players reached double figures in the scoring column as Alaira Drake added 14 points and Grace Hauslein netted 13 points.

Elizabeth Joines and Kaitlyn Robinson rounded out the Muhlenberg County individual scoring with four points apiece.

Jaleah Tutt led Owensboro with 18 points. Three different Owensboro players reached double figures in the scoring column as Tayonna Greer contributed 14 points and Zakiya Board added 13 points.

Maliyah Wilson-Taylor and Victoria Whitlock scored five points apiece while Mykael Winstead netted four points and Kya Collier posted two points for the Lady Devils.
