Ohio County EaglesRUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (12/7/17) — Ohio County dropped a boys-girls basketball doubleheader to Logan County on the road on Tuesday.

Boys - Logan County 82, Ohio County 80: Four Logan County players reached double figures in the scoring column as the host team edged Ohio County 82-80 in an early-season boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

Homestanding Logan County dealt Ohio County its first loss in the 2017-18 boys' high school basketball season.

Logan County outscored the Eagles 27-22 in the fourth quarter to pull out a hard-fought victory.

With the loss, Ohio County dropped to 2-1.

Logan County moved to 3-0 with the win.

Tommy Krohn led a balanced Logan County offensive effort with 20 points.

Accompanying Krohn in double figures for the Panthers, Mykal Hampton and Austin Rayno netted 18 points apiece and Kelby Epley chipped in 13 points.

John Parker paced Ohio County with a double-double, scoring 25 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, both of which were game-highs.

Joining Parker in double figures for the Eagles, Logan Sandefur netted 21 points and Q Daryius McHenry contributed 15 points.

 

Girls - Logan County 62, Ohio County 40: Host Logan County pulled away to defeat Ohio County 62-40 in an early-season girls' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

With the loss, Ohio County slipped to 0-4.

Logan County improved to 2-1 with the win.

Kennedy Nichols poured in a game-high 23 points to lead Logan County to the victory.

Aiding the Logan County scoring effort, Peyton Vanzant netted 12 points and Sarah Hale added nine points.

Kate Edge scored 15 points for the Lady Eagles in the loss.
