WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (3/20/13) - The following is your weekly update of events and activities in the Webster County area.
Catholic Diocese
This Lenten season, the Catholic parishes in the area will have confessions available every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The dates and location for March are: March 6 - Immaculate Conception in Earlington and Holy Cross Church in Providence; March 13 - Holy Cross Church in Providence; March 20 - Resurrection Church in Dawson Springs; March 27 - Immaculate Conception Church in Earlington.
SBDM Council To Meet
Dixon Elementary School SBDM Council will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 in the conference room.
Run For God 5-K Challenge
An informational and enrollment meeting for Run For God 5-K Challenge, a practical guide to running with a Christian focus, will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 21. Classes will begin on Tuesday, April 9. Anyone interested call 270-667-7128 or email

Easter Egg Hunt
Providence General Baptist Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 23, on the church grounds. Everyone is invited to participate.
Historical Society To Meet
Webster County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, in the research room of the Webster Co. Public Library in Dixon. All members and prospective members are encouraged to attend. Please bring a story/article or photo of your most unique ancestor for round table sharing.
Senior Monthly Meet-Up
The Rosenwald Center and Pleasant Hill Family Life Center will host a Senior Monthly Meet-Up at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Everyone is welcome.
