BOWLING GREEN, KY (11/28/12) – On November 27, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Warren County Sheriff's Office received information of what was perceived to be a threat that was written on a bathroom wall at Warren East High School.
The word of this perceived potential threat traveled through text messaging, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media networks resulting in dozens of students and parents calling yesterday and throughout the night and this morning. Sheriff's Deputies have responded to all the notifications and inquiries regarding the possible event at Warren East High School.
Warren County Sheriff's Office has heightened security at the school this morning and is meeting with school and district administrators regarding the incident.
School officials and Warren County Sheriff's Deputies are taking every possible measure to ensure the safety of the students and faculty at Warren East. The investigation is on-going at this time.
