LEXINGTON, Ky. (5/10/13)— Nineteen schools in Kentucky made the 2013 list of America’s Best High Schools, including Lafayette at No. 1,488 and Henry Clay at No. 1,904.
Each year, Newsweek and The Daily Beast analyze the nation’s high schools with an eye toward finding the ones that best prepare students for college. The 2013 list ranked 2,000 public high schools based on graduation rates, participation in college-level classes via Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs, and acceptance into a two- or four-year college. All the data was self-reported for the 2011-2012 academic year.
