HENDERSON, Ky. (1/11/13) – Earlier today, January 11, 2013, Henderson Police Officials responded to a school in response to a report of a pistol located on a student.
According to Police officials, the school resource officer entered a classroom at Central Academy in Henderson to remove two students via court-issued pick up orders. While patting down one of the students, the officer located a .22 caliber pistol in a 17-year-old student’s pocket. The pistol was fully loaded.
At this time, SurfKY News has been informed that the student has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon on School Property. This charge is officially a Class D Felony.
The student was transported and is currently lodged at the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Bowling Green.
