CADIZ, Ky. (3/12/13) – Andrew Sanderson has been hired by the Cadiz Police Department and will begin patrol duties this week.
Sanderson, 38, is a 2005 graduate of the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Police Academy. He has previously worked for the Hopkinsville Police Department and then Oak Grove Police Department, where he worked for the last seven years.
“We are pleased to be able to hire someone with Andy’s experience and feel like he will be an asset to our department,” said Chief Chad Grace.
Sanderson will undergo training with other CPD supervisors for several weeks before being assigned shift work.
“This puts us back to a full complement of full-time officers in our department for the first time in a year,” Chief Grace said.
Officers Randy Clark and Roger Knight were promoted to full-time status in January.
The Cadiz Police Department has eight full-time officers, a school resource officer, and a civilian employee.
