PADUCAH, Ky. (2/1/13) – On January 31, 2013, Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Division located James “Ronnie” Ligon at his Littleville residence. Detectives arrested him on an arrest warrant for Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd Degree.
During the month of December, detectives with the drug division purchased doses of Hydrocodone from Ligon while at his residence. During the investigation, it was found that Ligon kept his brother’s Hydrocodone at his residence and had been selling the pills for profit. Ligon kept the pills under the guise of keeping them from being stolen at his brother’s residence, just two houses from his. Ligon was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. US currency was seized from Ligon’s residence as a result of the investigation.
Also in January, Shawn Harper and Deanna Sullenger were arrested for illegally trafficking drugs.
In December of 2012, an investigation into allegations that Shawn Harper of Palmer Street in Paducah led to detectives purchasing a small amount of marijuana from Harper. Harper had recently been released from the Halfway House in Paducah for prior drug charges and this was his second trafficking offense. Harper was arrested in January on a warrant for Trafficking Marijuana 2nd Offense by Officer Stephenson of the Paducah Police Department.
In October of 2012, detectives also purchased Hydrocodone doses from Deanna Sullenger at her residence on New Hope Road in Paducah. In January 2013, the McCracken County Grand Jury indicted her. Sullenger was subsequently arrested by Deputy White of the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd Degree.
