PADUCAH, Ky. (3/22/13) – McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Detectives concluded an investigation Thursday night regarding the trafficking of methamphetamine by a Paducah man. Fifty year old Kerry Egner, of Powers Road, was charged with drug offenses after a search warrant was executed at his residence.
The search warrant was executed at Egner’s residence on Powers Road at approximately 8:00 P.M. Egner and a female, twenty-four year old Amber Gilbert, were located at the residence. During a search of the residence, detectives located methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $1500, digital scales, syringes loaded with methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, prescription medication, and other drug paraphernalia. Money was also seized, believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales. Firearms were also located in close proximity to the methamphetamine and were seized as a result of the investigation.
Gilbert, who was recently released from prison and is on parole for drug offenses (Manufacturing Methamphetamine), was charged with Driving under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol. Egner was charged with Firearm Enhanced Trafficking Methamphetamine Over 4 grams 2nd Offense, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree-Xanax, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and failing to notify the department of transportation of an address change.
Both Egner and Gilbert were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. The investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.
The Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by the Kentucky State Police, the ATF and the Graves County Sheriff’s Department.
