Four Charged With Drug Offenses

arrest paducahPADUCAH, Ky. (3/28/13) – Four people were arrested by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday for drug related offenses.
 
Wednesday morning Sheriff’s Deputies were contacted by Probation and Parole officers who were conducting a home visit at 1246 Vasseur. During the visit, the officers located methamphetamine related items. Deputies responded and located multiple items of methamphetamine paraphernalia and a quantity of methamphetamine. Forty-seven year old Michael Hamlin and fifty-two year old Cynthia Blankenship were arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
 
Detectives with the Drug Division then received information that illegal drug activity was occurring at 1603 North 10 Street. The information stated that individuals were selling drugs from the residence. Detectives conducted an investigation and prepared and executed a search warrant at approximately 11 p.m. A vehicle with three individuals was stopped as it was leaving the residence as well. During a search of the vehicle and the residence, detectives located marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, multiple items to indicate the trafficking of illegal drugs, a handgun, and US currency believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales. Four children were also located inside the residence and had easy access to the drugs.
 
Cedric Pipes, twenty-four years old, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, four counts of Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree, and No Operator’s License. Twenty year old Shaquille Beard was arrested and charged with Firearm Enhanced Possession of Marijuana. Both were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
