breakingnews update 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (3/7/13) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) officials have released information regarding a possible murder/suicide that took place on Thursday morning.

SurfKY News spoke with KSP Trooper Stu Recke regarding the incident. According to Trooper Recke, Troopers were dispatched to 4715 State Route 853 in Muhlenberg County for a report of a possible shooting. Once on the scene, it was found that 62-year-old Everett Green and his wife, 61-year-old Armilda Green were deceased. Both were apparently deceased as a result of gunshot wounds.

Trooper Recke stated that there was another family member in the home at the time. The family member reported that she heard gunshot wounds and found the bodies of the Green’s. Trooper went on to say that there was no apparent reason for the shooting, and further investigation would be necessary.

Evidence leads investigators to believe that Mr. Green was responsible for shooting Mrs. Green, and then taking his own life.

Further information will be provided upon KSP notification.
