OWENSBORO, Ky. (4/11/13) – The president of the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation and the director of personnel for the Daviess County Public School District are two of the three finalists for the Owensboro Public Schools Superintendent position, according to Phil Eason, who has been overseeing the selection process.
Along with EDC President Nicholas Brake and DCPS Director of Personnel Mark Owens, the third candidate in contention for the position is South Oldham Middle School Principal Rob Clayton.
Earlier this week, the OPS Board of Education announced its intent to hold a closed session meeting last night (Wednesday) to review the candidates list.
The new superintendent will succeed Larry Vick, who is retiring. The Owensboro Independent Board of Education’s goal is to appoint a superintendent by May 7, with duties to begin July 1
