surfkyweather leaf rainWESTERN Ky. (4/15/13) – The Western Kentucky region is looking at an interesting mix of weather throughout the week, with a mix of cool temperatures in some of the evening hours, warm and hot temps for the daytime, and several opportunities for storms.
 
Monday will bring a mix of clouds and sun, with the sunshine being the dominant aspect, and some strong winds with gusts up to 20 mph as the day goes by. Monday night will have some very warm temps at around 63 degrees.
 
Tuesday will bring in some clouds with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with the high wind potential remaining. The temperatures will top out at around 80 degrees. The chance of storms will carry on through the evening hours, remaining at 20 percent, with a temp around 65.
 
Wednesday will bring a higher chance of showers and storms, at 30 percent, with a high of 82 and the sun occasionally peeking through. The wind will lighten up a bit. Temperatures will remain in the high 60’s overnight.
 
Thursday will bring an even higher chance of storms, at 40 percent, with the winds ramping up a bit with gusts as high as 30 mph. Thursday’s temps will remain around 80 degrees through the daytime and drop to 47 in the evening hours.
 
Friday will bring a lesser chance of showers, but remaining mostly cloudy with a high dropping to 53 degrees, and winds gusting at around 21 mph during the daytime hours. The night will being a low of 38 with the winds easing off.
