surfky weather clearsky 300WESTERN Ky. (7/19/13) – After the hottest week of the 2013 year, it appears that we may have a rather damp weekend in the forecast.

Today, Friday, we will see a 10 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms with a high of 93 degrees. In the evening hours there will be a few spotty clouds here and there with a low of 73 degrees.

Saturday will bring forth a considerable increase in storm potential, with a 40 percent chance and a high of 93. As the day progresses into the evening hours, the chance of thunderstorms will jump up to 60 percent.

Sunday will have a good chance of storms, but with considerably lower temperatures. There will be a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms with a high of 88 degrees. Sunday evening will see a slight drop in storms, with a 40 percent chance and a low of 71 degrees.

As for next week, unless there is a break in the various storm fronts heading this way, it looks like we might just have a wet week as a whole.
