prevent child abuse 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (4/15/13) – Student winners of the Child Abuse Prevention Poster and Poem Contest have been announced by The Christian County Council on Child Abuse and Neglect.

In February, The Christian County Council on Child Abuse and Neglect announced it would be sponsoring the poster and poem contest in April, which is National Child Abuse and Prevention Month. This year’s theme for the contest was “Stand Up for Children, There’s No Excuse for Child Abuse.”

Students were asked to implement facts, feelings and ideas about preventing child abuse into their artwork. Family Resource and Youth Service Centers across the district then collected their school’s top five posters and poems and top entries were taken to the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center for judging.
