wreck1 500

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/1/13) – The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) and Madisonville Fire Department (MFD) are, at this time, currently on the scene of a two car collision at the Intersection of Noel and Pride.

According to MPD Officers William Poe and Clay Stroud, a car was at the intersection, traveling from Pride and turning onto Noel. When the vehicle pulled out, another vehicle was approaching the intersection on Noel. The driver of the second vehicle attempted to hit the brakes, and accidentally hit the gas instead. One vehicle swerved, hitting a power pole, knocking it over, and then hit the other vehicle.

Officers Poe and Stroud stated that no one was seriously injured, but all occupants were transported to Baptist Health ER for verification of minor injuries, if any.

Power outages have been reported along Pride and various other surrounding locations.
