ANGEL TREE PROGRAMMUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY (8/16/12) – The Salvation Army (SA) of Hopkins and Muhlenberg Counties has officially announced that they are preparing to kick off the application process of the annual Angel Tree Program, providing Christmas for children whose families are going through financial hardships.
 
According to Salvation Army officials, SA will be teaming up with all the School Family Resource Centers and Christmas help agencies. Applications will be accepted from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM on September 17-21 and September 24-28.
 
SA officials wish to remind the public that this program is strictly for children ages newborn to 12-years-old.
 
September 28 will be the last day for signups, no exceptions.
 
Local businesses are invited to support this program by either making donations or adopting angels. If citizens or businesses are interested, contact the Salvation Army at 270-825-3620.
