Muhlen MikeBrewer EOM(l-r) Mike Brewer, Center Life Supervisor, Ashley Knight, HR Manager MUHLENBERG, Ky. (3/31/14) — Mike Brewer, Center Life Supervisor of the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center has received the title of Employee of the Month.

Mr. Brewer is a true asset to the center as a whole.

He provides a tremendous connection with all students. He spends countless hours coaching and talking with students to improve retention while ensuring each student has everything he/she needs to be happy and successful on center. Mr. Brewer is thorough in investigating student concerns allowing students to feel confident they are getting the needed support and assistance.

Mr. Brewer is very proactive in planning for all events.

In February we faced snow, ice and tornados. He always has each dorm prepared with the necessary equipment to make sure all students and staff are safe. He drives around center to escort staff and students who need transportation. He can always be counted on to work double shifts for staff coverage numerous times.

Mr. Brewer not only takes care of the Center Life department but he assists any department that asks and makes arrangements to ensure students have the meals they need, trips are arranged or re-arranged, and medical concerns are dealt with appropriately.

He has a calm demeanor that students appreciate, respect and trust. Many students continuously speak to him about personal and day to day needs.

If he is given a task you are guaranteed it will be done quickly and efficiently.

For all of these reasons and more, the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center is honored to have Mr. Brewer on our team. He is a true asset to the Center and deserves this recognition for his tremendous efforts.
