accident with injuries ambulanceUPDATE:Michael J. Rogall succumbed to his injuries from the collision at 5:15 p.m., April 4 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

ORIGINAL STORY:

GREENVILLE, Ky. (4/4/14) ― The driver of a tractor-trailer accident in Muhlenberg County was revived at the scene of what was initially believed to be a fatality late Thursday afternoon.

According to Kentucky State Police, Michael J. Rogall, 57, of Elmhurst, Ill., was driving a 2007 Freightliner north on Kentucky 181 hauling frozen stir fry at 4:05 p.m. at the 13 mile marker near Greenville. The tractor-trailer tires dropped off the right side of the roadway causing it to overturn onto its right side off the roadway.

Rogall, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of his injuries. There were no passengers.

Rogall was charged with DUI first offense and possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle. He has been cited to court due to his injuries.

Trooper Jeff McWhorter investigated the collision. Sgt. Tim Sales, KSP CVE Officer John Sweeney, Greenville Fire Department, Muhlenberg County EMS and the Kentucky Sate Highway assisted at the scene.
