bee-keeperMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (4/13/14) — 4-H members and mentors from the Paradise Beekeepers Associations were busy putting together 4-H members' new homes for their bees that will be arriving soon.

4-H members will get bee boxes painted and set up anticipating the arrival of their bees. It is an exciting time for these youth undertaking such a new and different life experience. Thanks to the Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation, 4-H was able to get 10 new youth involved in beekeeping. The Foundation supplied the kits for the 4-H youth that contained the box, frames and wax sheets, safety helmet with veil, gloves and hive tool.

Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
