Madisonville Fire Reports – Aug. 4, 2014

firereports2011new a 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/4/14) — The Madisonville Fire Department released the following report Monday, Aug. 8.

According to the Madisonville Fire Department report, Engine-4 and Brush-9 responded to a Rush Avenue residence. Upon fire crews arrival, a contained brush fire was found to be located in the yard of Mathew Johnston.

Engine-4 and Brush-9 booster reel was deployed to extinguish the fire. Class A foam was used to assist in preventing a possible rekindle.

Johnston told fire personnel that he started the fire in an effort to clean up his yard debris.

Madisonville Police were requested to respond to the scene and assist in explaining the burn ordinances for the city to Johnston.
