Traffic Restricted to One Lane on U.S. 60

lane closures green 300OWENSBORO Ky. (4/9/13) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict westbound traffic to one lane on US 60/The Wendell Ford Expressway at the KY 54/East Parrish Avenue Interchange in Owensboro starting today.

Westbound traffic on US 60 will be reduced from two lanes down to one lane to facilitate ongoing construction of new ramps at the interchange. This work zone configuration will require vehicles traveling the ramp from KY 54 to US 60 westbound to merge into one lane of traffic.

Work zone signage, barrels, message board, and other traffic control devices will be erected to assist motorists. Caution is required.

This work zone is at U.S. 60 mile point 18.690 and KY 54 mile point 2.559 in Daviess County.

Yager Materials is the Prime Contractor of this $2,545,433 highway improvement contract. The expected completion date is August 15, 2013.
