basic football2 300OWENSBORO, Ky (11/7/13) - Last year Owensboro Catholic was riding high entering the playoffs and then they fell short of their dream. Now the Aces are 8 - 2 and are heading into the playoffs with a six game winning streak.

Last week the Aces finished off the regular season win a convincing 46 - 18, victory over Barren County.

When SurfKY News asked Owensboro Catholic Head Coach John Edge about the Barren County win he said, "I'm happy with players paying attention to details and applying the game plan on the field."

This week the 3 - 6, Crittenden County Rockets will travel to Owensboro Catholic to take on the Aces. The Rockets have lost their last four games by a combined score of 187 - 10. Crittenden County's defense will have come out of hibernation, if they are going to have any shot against the Aces.

"Since Crittenden County plays man defense, our offense will either feast or famine," said Coach Edge. If Owensboro Catholic has a good night catching the ball, the Aces will control game Friday Night.

Game will take place at Steele Stadium and will kick off at 7 p.m.
