basic football5 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (11/7/13) – Last week Owensboro lost a close battle with Henderson 28 – 27. If that happens this week the Red Devil’s season will be done, but that will not happen. This week Owensboro will take on the 1 – 9 Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers.

The Tigers lost their first nine games before defeating Hancock County last week 28 – 14. Owensboro faced Breckinridge last year in the first round of the playoffs and won the game 56 – 0. “This Breckinridge County team is a much improved team. We have to be prepared to play,” said Owensboro Head Coach Joe Prince.

SurfKY News asked Coach Prince what the key to game was Friday night, he said, “Our backups have to step up and play great.” The Devils are dealing with some injuries.

The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Owensboro High School.
