Rep. Whitfield Comments on Independence Day

4th whitfield 300FRANKFORT, Ky. (7/3/13) – U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield (KY-01), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Energy and Power, today released the following statement on Independence Day.
 
“As we celebrate the 237th birthday of the United States of America, we must all take a moment to reflect on the generations of brave men and women who have fought to preserve the freedoms our country continues to enjoy to this day. The United States of America only remains a beacon of freedom because of those who have fought to defend it. We thank these brave Patriots, and we will celebrate our country’s independence in their honor.”
