surfkyweather  rain blueWESTERN Ky. (8/5/13) – After a very nice and comfortable weekend, weather-wise, local citizens are urged to dig the raincoats out of the closet for the upcoming week.
 
Today, Monday, we are looking at a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms after 2 PM this evening, with a high of around 84 degrees. The evening hours will show a bit of departure of the clouds, with only a 20 percent chance of storms, but only overnight.
 
On Tuesday, the chance of thunderstorms will jump up to 40 percent throughout the day, with a high around 86 degrees. Tuesday night will have a 60 percent chance of storms.
 
Wednesday and Thursday will both bring forth a 60 percent chance of storms during the daytime hours. On Wednesday night the chance for storms will be around 50 percent. The temps for both days will be around 85 degrees.
 
Friday will have a slightly less chance of showers, but will remain mostly cloudy with a high around 85 degrees.
 
At this point, it is looking like the weekend may just be pleasant.
