hazardous weather_alert2OWENSBORO, Ky. (3/24/13) – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews are on alert for snow expected across the region overnight. Warm pavement temperatures will help melt most snow as it falls. However, in some areas with heaviest snowfall accumulations roads are likely to become slushy, creating the potential for hazardous driving.

Northernmost counties along the Ohio River will have crews on duty ready to roll out after about midnight. Other state department crews will be on standby for callout as needed by supervisors who will be checking road conditions durning the overnight hours.

Motorists are asked to do their part by slowing down and using caution as the snow develops and on the morning commute.
