Board of Education General 04 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (4/11/13) – The Owensboro Public Schools Board of Education will host a Candidate Public Forum to allow the public the opportunity to meet the three finalists for superintendent.
 
Each of the finalist candidates will have 35 to 40 minutes to respond to questions (see below to submit questions) pertaining to all school district operational areas. The School Board hopes to have a wide range of community stakeholders in attendance, including parents, students, school staff, city government officials, business persons, and interested citizens.
 
The forum will be held on April 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Owensboro Central Office, 450 Griffith Avenue.
 
To further solicit input from these stakeholders, the Board invites the community to submit questions via Kentucky Association of School Administrator (KASA) at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for possible use during the forum. Following the forum, the Board welcomes feedback from those attending through the KASA website.
 
The next steps of the Board will be to review information generated by the screening committee, consider input from public forum, carry out comprehensive background checks and conduct personal interviews with the three finalists. A tentative date for selecting a candidate has been set for May 7, with duties to begin July 1.
