Hancock County Man Arrested Following Kentucky State Police Investigation

(5/21/13) – Kentucky State Police Post 16 in Henderson, responding to an anonymous report of a Hancock County man allegedly selling marijuana from his residence and having “bomb making materials” in his possession, arrested the man on drug-related charges.

Authorities allegedly discovered explosive materials, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm during a search of Larry Cecil’s home yesterday morning just after 8 a.m. Cecil was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Breckenridge County Detention Center.

Following the discovery, state police said they contacted the Owensboro Police Department Hazardous Device Unit for assistance. OPD disposed of the explosive materials.
