ribbon cutting 01 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (7/30/13) – The first day of August kicks off a busy month for business in Muhlenberg County with back-to-back ribbon cuttings hosted by the Greater Muhlenberg Chamber of Commerce.

The official ribbon cutting for Ms. Hoss’ Sweet Shop will begin Thursday at noon at 135 South Main Street in Greenville. Light refreshments will be served. There will also be an open house lasting until 4:00 p.m.

The chamber will take its ribbon cutting scissors down the street to 144 North Main at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, when the Christian Academy of ACTSchools, Inc. at Greenville United Methodist Church will be officially welcomed to the chamber. The ceremony will be followed by an open house featuring a tour of the new school.

Later in the month, the chamber's membership meeting will be held at the Annual Pogue Picnic on Thursday, August 15th. Watch for more details coming soon.

On Tuesday, August 20th the chamber's Cash Mob will invade another area business, as Chamber Ambassadors "mob" a yet-to-be-announced chamber business and encourage shoppers to shop Muhlenberg County businesses and save.

Saturday, August 24th the 25th Annual Kentucky Deer Classic comes to the Muhlenberg County Ag & Convention Center on the Highway 189 Bypass.

Renowned sportsmen from across the nation will be on hand to give you one-on-one tips, and to celebrate the quarter of a century old event.

To find out more about any of these August chamber events call 270 754 2360 or 270 338 5422, or log on to www.greatermuhlenbergchamber.com.
