HENDERSON, Ky. (6/11/13) – Beginning on Tuesday, June 25, the Henderson Police Department and Methodist Hospital will be conducting a Citizen’s Academy for Senior Adults at Methodist Hospital every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. for 10 weeks. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the functions of the Henderson Police Department. Weekly sessions will include, but are not limited to: Introduction to Policing & HPD, Training, Fitness & Healthy Living, Basic Criminal Law, Emergency Preparedness, Patrol Operations, Investigations (Criminal & Drug), Crime Scene Investigations, and Home Safety.
Classes will be interactive, not just lecture. Participants are encouraged to attend each session. At the end of the eight weeks, a Graduation Lunch will be held at Methodist Hospital. Join us to learn more about the Henderson Police Department and our community.
