Outdoors with Big Country — Firearms Deer Season Opens

outdoors bc 300KENTUCKY (11/9/13) - Today is Kentucky's Opening Day of Firearms Deer Season all across the Bluegrass state.

With thousands of avid outdoorsmen and women venturing out to their favorite hunting spot, with high hopes and huge dreams of taking that trophy buck that you've been watching or dreaming of just may come true this season.

Let's all remember to be safe and wear the hunters orange that's required by law to stay safe.

We want to say to all hunters,"Good luck to all and hopefully your hunt will be a successful trip.

Some folks hunt close to home and some travel from far away. The state of Kentucky offers some of the best deer hunting within the Midwest. The deer herd is healthy and several trophy class bucks are all over throughout the state.

Hunt safe and hunt hard. Make a young hunters day a great trip by being a mentor. If you take a young or new hunter out hunting, be a good mentor and be a role model.

Good Hunting to all and we'd love to see your hunting pictures, you may send them in to us here at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
