WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (3/27/13) - Webster County Sheriff Frankie Springfield has announced the addition of Mitch Townsend as a road deputy for the county.
Townsend, a Webster County native, was sworn in and started work on Monday March 25, 2013. He will not begin his eighteen weeks at the police academy in Richmond until April 22. Until that time he will ride along with Sheriff Springfield or Deputy Captain Donald Jones.
This will bring the total number of Sheriff’s Deputies to six. Townsend will join Deputies Donald Jones, Steve Madden, Scott Starkey, Jay Workins and Cory Patmore.
