breakingnews1TODD COUNTY, Ky. (5/29/13) – SurfKY News has just received information from the Kentucky State Police (KSP) regarding a plane crash in the Todd County area.

According to information provided by KSP Trooper Christopher Rogers, at approximately 5:07 PM today, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, the Kentucky State Police Post 2 was notified by the Todd County Sheriff of an aircraft that had crashed in the area of 850 Davis Mill Rd, Elkton KY.

Officials stated that the aircraft, a 1946 Stinson model 108, was being piloted by Tyler Gill of Allensville, KY. Jerry Humble of Russellville, KY was a passenger in the aircraft. The aircraft took off from the Elkton Airport and crashed in a field in Elkton.

Gill was transported to Gateway Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration will be continuing the investigation.
