davismotorsales 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (1/27/14) – When you pull into most car lots, a salesman will talk to you about horsepower and doggone low prices.

But when you stop by Davis Motor Sales, at 2918 Hwy 62 West in Greenville, owners Larry and Paula Davis will be happy to discuss horsepower, thoroughbred horses, and even introduce you to their boxer, Repo.

Meanwhile, back at the barn, hidden from sight by the office and row after row of vehicles, you'll find Buddstark, a 17-year-old retired racehorse. Paula Davis calls Buddstark the couple's "pride and joy".

"I raised him from a baby and we wouldn't take anything in the world for Budd" Mr. Davis said. "Budd has a friend to pass the time, a mare named simply "B".

"We've been in the Thoroughbred racing and breeding business since 1991 with our current operation in Charles Town, West Virginia." Mr. Davis said.

The couple's highly successful car lot has over one hundred vehicles in stock, and their "Buy Here-Pay Here" method of doing business is very popular with car buyers from all over the tri-state.

Mr. Davis attributes his love of working in the auto sales business to his late father, Paul Davis, who spent 40 years as a successful sales representative with Henry-Cisney Chevrolet in Central City.
