Central City Mayor Thankful for Parade Participation

letter editor4 300A letter to editor:

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all that participated and were a part of Central City’s Hometown Christmas Parade on Dec. 15.

The churches, businesses, civic groups and organizations well represented the true meaning of Christmas even though the temperatures were very cold. Let’s continue to share the true meaning of Christmas and never forget the real reason for the season.

There were so many people that worked behind the scenes to make this parade a success. Thanks to those who planned, coordinated, and worked in the freezing cold. Most of all, thanks to those who came out to watch and enjoy the Magic of Christmas.

We have already scheduled our Christmas Parade for 2014. The date will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15.

Thanks again,
Mayor Barry Shaver
