Construction Work Planned Along Audubon Parkway

men at workOWENSBORO, Ky. (6/28/13) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is planning a traffic shift along the Audubon Parkway work zone between Owensboro and the Green River Bridge in Daviess County on Monday, July 1.

Two-way traffic has been running along the eastbound lanes to allow the contractor to work along the westbound lanes. Starting at approximately 7 a.m. Monday, two-way traffic will move to the westbound lanes to allow the contractor to start rehabilitation work along the eastbound side.

Motorists who regularly travel this section of the Audubon Parkway should be aware of this planned traffic shift and be prepared to adapt to resulting changes in traffic flow along the work zone.

This is part of a general rehab project along the Audubon from mile point 16.5 near the Green River Bridge at the Daviess-Henderson County Line to the Audubon Parkway/U.S. 60 Interchange in Owensboro.

Chester Bross Construction Company is the prime contractor on this $6.1 million highway improvement project. The estimated completion date for the rehab work is Sept. 1.
