(2/24/14) – On Saturday, students and staff from East View Elementary gathered to collect trash from along a two-mile stretch of Ky. Hwy. 2830 as part of the school’s commitment to the “Adopt-A-Highway” program.

East View Elementary teacher Amanda Davis said the decision to join the program was an idea she had when looking for ways to encourage kids to take part in more community service projects through the popular “Leader in Me” program.

The Saturday clean-up effort was the second time for the local highway.
