South Middle School Dance Team Wins State

Henderson dance 500

HENDERSON, Ky. (2/27/13) – South Middle School’s dance team claimed the State Championship title in the Hip Hop Division and was named "Best of the Best" in the Middle School Division during the state dance tournament this past Saturday at the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. The dance team also placed fourth in the Pom Division.

“I am extremely proud of the girls especially when they won the Best of the Best award because these girls have worked so hard during practices, games, and even practicing at home on their own time,” said head coach Carrie Bolin. “The closeness of the team and dedication is simply amazing. Without their dedication we could have never accomplished all of this.”

The Middle School Pom and Hip Hop Division competitions included 11 schools.

Assistant coach is Karley Vibbert, and the choreographer is Chelsie Hanley.
