MURRAY, Ky. (3/12/13) – Murray State head football coach Chris Hatcher and his Racers will officially open spring practice Wednesday afternoon as they hold their first of 15 practices on the turf at Stewart Stadium. The workouts will conclude with the Annual Blue-Gold Bowl on April 20.
 
The Racers will hold just one practice this week before going on spring break the week of March 18-22. They will return to the field for their second practice on helmets on March 27, before pitching putting on the pads for the first time March 29. The team will be in full pads for the first team on March 30.
 
The Blue-Gold Bowl will take place at 12 p.m. on April 20. It will be proceeded by the Junior Racers Combine that will begin at 10 a.m.
 
All practices are open to the public.
 
The Racers open the 2013 season on Aug. 31 as they travel to face Missouri.

April 12 - Practice #11 - 4:30 p.m.
April 13 - Practice #12 - 1:30 p.m.
April 15 - Practice #13 - 3:10 p.m.
April 19 - Practice #14 - 4:30 p.m.
April 20 - Blue-Gold Bowl - 12 p.m.
