(6/6/14) — For the fifth-consecutive edition, and the final time before the semifinalists are announced, Kentucky track and field hurdler Kendra Harrison was named to the Bowerman Watch List ahead of next week’s NCAA Championships.

The list, announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Thursday, was the final edition before the candidates are narrowed down to semifinalists later this month.

Harrison is a leading contender in both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles at next week’s NCAA Championships.

She won the 400m hurdles at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships last weekend, and finished third in the 100m hurdles. She enters the National Championships as the top seed in the 400m hurdles and seeded fifth in the 100m hurdles.

She won both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles, becoming the first woman since South Carolina's Ellakisha Williamson in 1999 to continue her historic 2014 season

Harrison ran the second fastest winning-400m hurdles time in SEC Championship history, 54.76, which ranks No. 3 in the world this year. Additionally, she became just the second woman to ever break 55 seconds at the SEC Championships.

Her winning 100m hurdles time of 12.86 was the fastest at a SEC Championships since Nickiesha Wilson (LSU) ran 12.81 in 2008.

Harrison is equal to No. 10 in the World this year (all conditions) in the 100-meter hurdles with her 12.68w (+2.1 m/s) win at the Texas Relays.

She has broken three school records this year outdoors - 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay in addition to the indoor 60m hurdles and 4x400m relay records. ....

Indoors she finished fourth in the NCAA 60-meter hurdles in a blanket finish in 7.94 at altitude in New Mexico to move to a tie at the No. 9 position on the all-time collegiate performers list.

She won the SEC title in the 60-meter hurdles in 7.94, which was a meet record. She also broke 8.00 six different times in the 60-meter hurdles.
