Governor Beshear Recognizes Sacrifice of a Kentucky Airman

soldier fannin 300FRANKFORT, Ky. (4/30/13) – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of a Kentucky airman who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
 
According to the Department of Defense, Staff Sgt. Daniel N. Fannin, 30, of Morehead, Ky., died April 27 in the crash of an MC-12 aircraft near Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
 
Staff Sgt. Fannin was assigned to the 552nd Operations Support Squadron, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.
 
The Governor will order flags at all state office buildings to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of Staff Sgt. Fannin’s interment, for which arrangements are pending.
