WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (6/30/14) — Annually, the Kentucky Governor's Highway Safety hosts a state-wide occupant protection awards ceremony.
This ceremony is to honor the enforcement efforts of officers, deputies and troopers in the area of occupant protection throughout Commonwealth of Kentucky.
The officers recognized at this ceremony have the highest statistics for citing motorists for not wearing their seatbelts or not utilizing child restraint devices. The officers awarded from each agency have accrued the greatest number of citations in their departments for the period of June 11, 2013 - June 10, 2014.
Warren County Sheriff's Office Deputy Josh Wright has earned the occupant protection award for the Warren County Sheriff's Office with over 21 percent of the agency's overall statistics .Deputy Wright will represent the Warren County Sheriff's Office at the August 7, 2014 ceremony at the Embassy Suites in Lexington, Ky.
