Deer Versus Motorcycle on Grapevine Road

motorcycle accident red 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/10/13) – On Thursday, April 9, 2013, at approximately 11:15 PM, the Madisonville Police Department (MPD) was alerted by Central Dispatch regarding a possible motorcycle accident on Grapevine Road.
 
Once on the scene, officers found that 51-year-old Dennis Goodaker of Madisonville was traveling northbound on Grapevine Road on a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle. While in motion, a deer entered the roadway from the west shoulder and struck Goodaker, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.
 
According to Police officials on the scene, Goodaker was injured and was transported to Baptists Health by private vehicle.
