arrest saulsCENTRAL CITY, KY (4/8/13) – On Thursday, April 4, 2013, local law enforcement officials went to the residence of Brad Saulsberry at 219 Park St. in Central City to execute a search warrant.

Once inside the residence, officers found eight bags of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and $380.00 inside the home.

According to Sheriff’s Office officials, while executing the warrant a pit bull dog attempted to attack one of the deputies and officers were forced to use deadly force against the animal to prevent the deputy from being harmed.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff Detective Troy Gibson, assigned to Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, charged Saulsberry with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Harboring a Vicious Animal.

The investigation is ongoing and officials have stated that it is possible that there will be additional arrest.

Gibson was assisted by other officers from the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department and the Central City Police Department.
