Muhlenberg Job Corps Center - Above & Beyond Employee

Above-Beyond-A-Boggess(lr) Adrian Boggess, Pharmacy Tech Instructor and Ashley Knight, HR Manager

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (6/6/14) — The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center would like to recognize Ms. Adrian Boggess as the quarterly Above & Beyond Outstanding Employee.

Ms. Boggess began her employment as Clinical Medical Assistant instructor April 9, 2012. As a result of the OBS reduction last year, her position was eliminated. Recently, there was a vacancy in the Pharmacy Tech program which she applied for and ultimately filled. She has worked extremely hard at learning that profession by studying for and passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. Since, her new students have been successfully completing the program and becoming employed, or moving on to college or advanced training programs.

Over the past two months Ms. Boggess has been working double-duty in the classroom while one of her colleagues has been on an extended leave. During this time, she has literally been teaching two classes simultaneously. In one classroom she is teaching Pharmacy Tech, and in the classroom next door she is teaching a class of Clinical Medical Assistant students. This is only possible due to her superb classroom management skills, and the respect that she has from her students. Ms. Boggess’s dedication to her job and to her students is why she is the recipient of the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center’s quarterly Above & Beyond Outstanding Employee Award.

The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center is a free career training educational facility for low income individuals ages 17-24. Individuals can train and earn certifications in health career and heavy industry fields.

For more information about the Job Corps program, or to schedule a tour of the campus, call Karen Robinson, Business Community Liaison at (270) 377-3269.
